The new urban delivery van adds a further model series to the Mercedes‑Benz van family. Alongside the Vario, Sprinter and Vito, the Citan will broaden the range of vehicles available in the lower weight category of the van market.

The name Citan is a combination of the words "city" and "titan", indicating that this van is a first-rate specialist for city logistics, specifically developed to meet the tough challenges faced in day-to-day operations.
