Enhances safety and comfort by displaying key information in the driver's field of vision. The system continuously shows the speed, navigation directions and much more on a transparent display panel, allowing you to keep your eyes on the traffic around you. Information from your assistance systems is also intelligently displayed. For example, the colour of the speedometer display changes if Speed Limit Assist detects that you are exceeding the speed limit. (Functionality depends to some extent on the optional extras selected.) The Mercedes-Benz Head-up Display projects a pin sharp, virtual colour image which appears to hover above the bonnet. The Head-up Display is controlled via your multifunction steering wheel and a special menu in your instrument cluster. An integral light sensor automatically switches the display between day and night mode and ensures optimum brightness at all times. And when switched off, the transparent display panel slides away into an unobtrusive case.

Available for many model series as a fully integrated retrofit solution.
