For example, the 300 TD TURBO's 143-hp 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo-diesel engine was an exciting innovation that was developed out of the intake engine and used in a modified form for the S-Class export model 300 SDL. As with the predecessor models, the Estate was produced at the plant in Bremen. A completely revised mid-range model series was unveiled by the car manufacturer at the IAA - the world's largest international motor show in Frankfurt am Main in Germany - in September 1989. The facelift saw stylistic details changed on the body and the interior that were particularly important. The miniature model of the 300 D Estate S 124 stuck close to the larger role model. For example, the precision model, which is hand-assembled from more than 113 individual parts, comes with a painting finish in the authentic colour shade and its interior design is a faithful copy. Six parts of the model in scale 1:18 can be opened (doors, bonnet, and tailgate). The Mercedes-Benz Classic packaging contains not only the 300 D Estate model, it also includes a screwdriver and a glove. This enables the collector's piece to be removed without leaving any fingerprints on the body or glazing.
