Air conditioning is integrated in the standard heating and ventilation system. In automatic mode, TEMPMATIC automatically regulates the on-board temperature (while the engine is running). The fact that the air is dehumidified during the cooling process is also of benefit in heating mode. To prevent the windows from misting up with high humidity, the air conditioning can be used in combination with the heating. In this reheat mode, the air is cooled, and hence dried, before it is heated. Air recirculation button with tunnel function – when the air recirculation button is held down (approx. 2 seconds) all open electric glass sunroofs and windows (except rear vent windows) are closed automatically. Holding down the button again returns the glass roofs and windows to their initial open position. The activated charcoal filter extensively filters dust particles, pollen and odours from the outside air. The filter lasts for around 30,000 km or max. one year under normal operating conditions.
