Premium and luxury-class saloons from Mercedes-Benz are built to cover long distances and are designed to allow you to enjoy every kilometre and arrive safe and relaxed. Get in, sit back and experience a different world; a world of sophistication, stunning contours, fine materials and technological highlights. In short: pure luxury.
The history of these cars dates back to a time when Berlin and Vienna were still under imperial rule. The foundation stone was laid by businessman Emil Jellinek, after whose daughter the Mercedes brand was named.
In 1904 he had a long-distance saloon version of the Mercedes-Simplex 60 hp built which offered its five occupants every conceivable comfort. This top-of-the-range Mercedes model was the Stuttgart brand's first luxury long-distance saloon – and marked the beginning of a great motoring tradition.
